A medical scribe receives specialized training to transcribe real-time medical records between the healthcare provider and patients during their visits. Scribes work in various settings such as emergency departments, small to medium doctor's offices, and other facilities. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for electronic health records (EHR) is 11% (much faster than average) with the median pay of $40,350 per year or $19.40 per hour.

Do scribes have to renew their scribe certificate?
No, they do not have to renew. According to the Joint Commission medical scribes do not necessarily have to be licensed or certified in any capacity, as long as the minimum training requirements are met. It also states certification is not currently necessary to work as a medical scribe in the United States. So if they do not even need the certification, they do not need to renew.
Is this course accredited?
Yes, each course includes complete online training material so you won't need anything else to prepare for your exam. Our ACLS, PALS & BLS courses follow the latest guidelines for CPR and ECC. For your convenience, our online training material is also available in PDF form so that you can study it from your computer or easily print it out and prepare away from the computer.
Is there a time limit for taking the exam?
No. You can spend as much time on the exam as you need. In fact, we encourage you to not rush through the exam too quickly, but to answer each question methodically and then double-check your answers.
Do you guarantee your courses?
Yes, we guarantee each of our courses for 14 days from the original date of enrollment. ACLS renewal online is the same policy.
