Medical instructor partner
Updated 2026-09-10
This is not a job posting. Read it before you apply.
Pacific Medical Training (PMT) sells PMT-branded CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS enrollments. Instructor training is a cost. Instructors are a sales funnel for those enrollments.
We do not:
- Employ instructors
- Pay a salary or a monthly fee
- Assign you leftover PMT students
- Promise a trainer in every ZIP code
The full product page is instructor training and partnership. The same facts are below so you do not have to hunt.
Pick the job you actually have
- Certify my staff. Buy group discount seats, or a group account if you want a token dashboard. That is not instructor training, and it is not this posting.
- Make someone at my organization an instructor. We will train that person only if 20 or more people in the organization will take our PMT provider courses. 19 people: we walk away from training your instructor.
- I am already an AHA instructor and I have students. You bring the students. We provide the online course and the card. That is this partnership.
Already an AHA instructor (this partnership)
You already hold a current AHA instructor certification in CPR, BLS, ACLS, or PALS. You already have students.
How it works:
- Your students complete our online course
- You provide the in-person skills verification at a site you arrange
- We issue the PMT card after the online exam and the skills form
You recruit. You set the in-person fee. We sell them the online course. We do not send you students.
If you cannot state a number for average students per month over the last 12 months, we will not onboard you. “Varies” is not a number.
Requirements
- Current AHA instructor certification in CPR, BLS, ACLS, or PALS
- Active medical license or certification (RN, MD, DO, paramedic, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching emergency cardiovascular care
- A numeric average of students per month over the last 12 months (not “varies”)
- Your own training equipment, or access to it
- Your own professional liability insurance, as is standard in the industry
What you do
- Provide in-person skills verification for students you bring who finish our online courses
- Lead the practical portion of hybrid courses
- Facilitate on-site group training for organizations that you recruit
- Provide one-on-one skills coaching for students who need extra help
What partners receive
- Access to current AHA guidelines-based course materials
- Skills verification checklists and documentation
- Student progress reports for hybrid courses
- Updates when AHA guidelines change
Compensation
We do not pay you a salary or a monthly fee. You charge your own students for the in-person work. We sell them the online course and issue the card.
In-house instructor training (20 or more people)
This is a different product from the partnership above. It is for a hospital, medical office, or similar group that will put 20 or more of its own people through our provider courses and wants a designated staff member who can sign PMT skills forms.
If you have 19 or fewer people taking our courses, we will not train your instructor. You can still buy provider seats.
The path:
- Complete a PMT or AHA provider course
- Complete an AHA instructor course at an authorized training center (we do not teach that course ourselves)
- Buy your own equipment
- Bring your own student who completed the PMT provider course online. We audit them as they perform the in-person course
Zoom instructor training we can schedule. On-site in a given ZIP we cannot promise. Tell us headcount, address, dates, and which course. We will see whether we have a partner or we will decline.
Price
There is no catalog SKU for instructor training. We quote after we see volume.
A Zoom instructor seat has been $300 per person. That is not the business. The invoice that matters is the provider enrollments for the 20 or more people.
How to apply
Do not email a resume. Use the form that matches the job on instructor training and partnership. Incomplete applications, and applications that put “varies” where we asked for a number, do not get a callback.
- Already an AHA instructor: the commercial-partner form. It asks for an integer average of students per month over the last 12 months.
- In-house instructor for 20 or more staff: the in-house form. It asks for an integer headcount of people who will take PMT courses.
